$25 Starbucks Gift Card Giveaway!

Although my husband will not be pleased with me (we are suppose to be on a budget!) I am going to dig into my own pockets for a give away! A Valentine's Day drawing for a $25 Starbucks gift card. That should buy you at least a raspberry mocha and a muffin anyway. Did I mention that expensive coffee drinks are one of few pregnancy cravings? That and pink lady apples. I know weird.

All you have to do is show me a little sugar

1) Be a follower

2) Write a comment telling me which getrealmama post is your favorite (yes I am trying to get a sense of what ya'll like reading about)

To be entered twice let me know that you have tweeted my post, or posted it on your facebook page.

Winner will be drawn randomly on February 13.

Cheers!

  1. Great giveaway! I like your posts that deal with WTF type of issues- esp with the kids-- I think you're funny-

  3. I am a loyal follower.

I like the funny stories about your kids' shenanigans. I also like the ones when you call out attention to the blatant rudeness and disrespect for women in a delicate condition... like when people don't get up for your big pregnant self on BART.

I'll put this on my FB page AND do a link on my blog (cuz you know how totally popular my blog is ;-) )

  5. I really liked "I'd rather be blogging". I'm with you Rachel, I don't get the cult like following that most men seem to have. I enjoy sports, but I am not painting various body parts team colors and screaming like a caveman. Great contest!

    Thanks for making us smile.

Oh and I hit this up on FB & Twitter.

  7. I love your blog Rachel and admit I read all of them! My favorites are about real life stuff but my most memorable one is way back in June and it was about bubblegum lyrics (california girlz to be specific). Keep blogging and I will keep reading. Oh, and I will link you up on fb.

  9. I love the Bye Bye Violet May post! You write honestly and the story about your five year old pretending to be a teenager is lighthearted funny and adorable. I also love your post discussing your Michelle Williams haircut. I think you a short style fits you beautifully but I enjoyed the sincerity in the post - you were writing in a way that is relatable and really put a lot of yourself in the post. I find a lot of blogs lack this unfortunately. They all seem the same. Sticking to such relatable and humorous perspectives will get you tons of interested followers :)

I follow you via gfc btw as Dee!

  18. I can SO relate to the diva contract post!! In my son's contract, it says:

Any broken toy must be fixed immediately on demand. This includes recharging batteries.

Juice must be given as soon as buttocks meets carseat.

And, if my brother has one, I want one. This applies to toys, cups, blueberries, M&Ms, and various other items.

  20. I'm all in for "I'd rather be blogging" because I just don't care a whit about professional sports of any kind and the hoopla makes me crazy. What if we put all that money and energy toward universal healthcare in this country. Probem solved! Okay, off my soapbox, and I'll share a link on FB, too!

  21. I love them all, but I'm completely unbiased!

  22. I just started following, but have gone back through and read quite a bit. As a mom, I love Evan's Diva Contract. Both of my kids are the same way. So many certain little things that must be followed or a melt-down ensues.

And I totally relate to preschool boy drama. There is so much of it and I can't help but worry about years down the road. I swear my five year old acts like a teenager already. (sigh)

My second favorite was when you bought the nice new preggo dress and Dave came home and said "Wow, You're Big!" You're very witty and I love to read your blog!

Love that you do this blog as it keeps me laughing. I esp. like when you do the performance reviews of the family and the posts that show what REAL motherhood is like (not always clean, organized or drama-free).
See you soon and LOVE your big belly--enjoy it while we can! ;)

  35. Hi! I like your writing style of bluntness and randomness. I can see how you would be trying to figure out your reader pool, but it might be difficult since you write about a variety of topics. I felt your posts were unique in their own way, but the one "My New Coworker" reminds me of a red head guy in my office that I swear would steal things out of my office. I'm not sure if it was he thought I wouldn't know, but I did put a lot of tacks on the bottom of my drawers to at least poke him. =)

Great information and the posts are not "too in-depth" that it makes it easy to read on a lunch break.

  46. I'll be honest; I'm new to your blog and have only read a few posts, but my favorite is your "Maybe...It's Rude" post. I 've used Evite many times and I have one particular friend that always, ALWAYS!, marks "maybe." It drives me nuts. She simply cannot commit, always needs her hubby's permission and has an excuse!!!! I could really use some Starbucks right now! ;-)
