New Diet

Honestly someone should bottle this. "Morning Sickness-The Pill", for easy, quick weight loss.

I can see it now:

Your favorite foods? You won't miss them. Ice cream sundaes and supreme pizzas will make you cringe. No will-power needed, your appetite will simply disappear! Drop 4 dress sizes in 4 weeks!
Now the fine print:
Those who take Morning Sickness- The Pill may experience abdominal swelling and bloating, sudden mood swings, crying unexpectedly and for no apparent reason and massive fatigue.

***Disclaimer: I have now been on this special diet for almost five weeks. Alas, no weight loss. In fact my bagel and cream cheese diet has resulted in a three pound weight gain. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.

  1. Ha! I lost 8 pounds my first trimester, and STILL managed to gain 25 pounds so far (I've got 2.5 weeks to go, so I may top it off closer to 28 total.)
First trimester SUCKS. Been there, done that.

  2. Both times I was pregnant (and I tried really hard to get that way) I kept wondering, "Now WHY did I want this again?" due to the absolute nausea of the first trimester. I couldn't believe I had done that to myself intentionally! Twice! And you, three times!

  3. I remember when I was pregnant with the twins, I was so sick. I kept losing weight and felt like they were 2 parasites sucking all the nutrients out of me (well, I guess they had to find it somewhere, since all I could keep down were french fries and slurpees). I know I looked awful too - pale and even greenish at times. But each time I would go to the doctor she would say they looked great. And finally, at week 14, I got a craving for nachos - the big piled high kind and ate the whole thing. Turned the corner...a big corner. Hang in there!

  4. Uggg. I had a pretty easy pregnancy with my little guy, but this lil' lady in my gut has been quite the little bugger... I was sick until 18 weeks and still get nauseous almost every night (at 26 weeks)! Just remember its all worth it in the end, right?
